When I first stepped into a courtroom to represent a father seeking custody, I had no idea how much the outcome of that case would shape my career. We didn’t win. Despite my client being a loving, devoted father, the judge ruled against him. He thanked me, but I was devastated. That moment sparked something in me.
I’ve seen firsthand the systemic challenges fathers face when trying to be present in their children’s lives. Society too often underestimates the nurturing role men can play.
